Taking place at the Mayadeen Theatre in Diriyah, Saudi Arabia is getting immersed in the soulful expressions and soothing beats of jazz music in the first-ever edition of the Riyadh International Jazz Festival. From February 7-9, the city will transform into a vibrant stage for some of the greatest global and regional artists making waves in the music industry. Presented by the Ministry of Culture (MOC) Music Commission, the festival ensures an unforgettable celebration of the rich and diverse world of jazz.

Who Will Be Performing At Riyadh International Jazz Festival?
Fans can expect a glamorous line-up featuring some of the biggest names in the industry and new regional talent, each carrying a unique message and a fresh perspective to share with the audience. Happening parallel to the performances on the main stage, the festival will also feature a Jazz Cafe and VIP lounge where guests can dance along to famed clarinetist Peter Long and his orchestra. He will be joined by a rotating group of vocalists, including Saudi artists Noura AlAmry, Sara Shafie, Loulwa, and Abdullah Filfilan.

Fulana

As a double MOBO award-winner and a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Arts, YolanDa Brown continues to shape the landscape of modern jazz with her infectious enthusiasm and unparalleled skill.

Majaz
Created in 2013, the Bahraini band Majaz are known for their Afro-Khaleeji beats, creatively weaving in the rhythm of African music and the melodies of traditional Khaleeji music together to celebrate the cultural connection between Africa and Arabia. The group has toured in the region and abroad, attending festivals including the Dhaka International FolkFest in Bangladesh and most recently the MDLBeast’s SoundStorm Festival in Riyadh.
Chaka Khan
Nicknamed the ‘Queen of Funk’, Chaka Khan is a legendary and universally recognized figure in the music industry. Possessing an unmistakable voice, she has garnered multiple Grammy Awards, leaving an enduring impact on the musical landscape.
