Will The Spice Girls Actually Be Performing at King Charles III’s Coronation?
Rumour has it the Spice Girls are set to perform at the coronation.
The award-winning group which includes Emma Bunton (a.k.a. “Baby Spice”), Geri Halliwell (a.k.a. “Ginger Spice”), Mel B (a.k.a. “Scary Spice”), Melanie C (a.k.a. “Sporty Spice”), and Victoria Beckham (a.k.a. “Posh Spice”) last performed together at the 2012 Olympic closing ceremony in London where they stunned a crowd of 66,000 with a pulsating mashup of their hits Wannabe and Spice Up Your Life.
The performance was a smashing success that later was revealed to be the band’s last show. Victoria didn’t join the band on their fourth tour where they performed throughout the UK and Ireland in 2019.
While fans are ecstatic to hear these rumours of Posh Spice finally joining the rest of her girl gang and dominating the stage, organisers of the coronation are pushing to get the girls to headline the event, according to tabloid newspaper The Sun.
This wouldn’t be the first time the girl gang crossed paths with the royal family as they frequently met the then-Prince Charles at star-studded events.
Because of their busy lives with families and other responsibilities including successful business ventures, the five have reportedly regretted not being able to take on opportunities such as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee in 2012.

The publication also reports that now that the group has been invited by the organisers of the King’s Coronation, they are “seriously pondering” participating as a group at the royal affair.
Let’s hope we see the girls reunite and set the stage on fire again.
Neither the Spice Girls nor Buckingham Palace have commented on the rumours, leaving fans wondering whether or not they’ll be a reunion after all.
