Netflix Announces A Victoria Beckham Docuseries

A new series is set to offer an intimate look at the personal battles and creative triumphs that shaped Victoria Beckham’s path to success

From Spice Girl to style authority, Victoria Beckham has rewritten her own narrative. This autumn, Netflix takes viewers behind the seams of her fashion empire, documenting the personal battles, industry challenges, and runway triumphs that have defined her reinvention.

In 2023, we glimpsed her world through Beckham, the intimate docuseries centred on her husband David. But this season, it’s Victoria’s turn to take centre stage: from global pop-star days and decades under media scrutiny, to the sacrifices made to reclaim her voice as a businesswoman and creative.

The timing of this series is particularly significant. After years of operating at a loss, Victoria Beckham Holdings Ltd. appears to have turned a corner, with revenue blooming by over 50% in 2023. A booming fragrance line and an expanding skincare and beauty collection have placed the brand firmly on the path to profitability. At the same time, Beckham’s global presence is growing – resonating particularly in the Middle East, where an appetite for niche luxury scents continues to surge. Together, these shifts make the documentary as much about a fashion empire in ascension as about the woman redefining it.

Beyond Fame: Body Image, Media Scrutiny, and Reinvention

So, what should we expect? Reports highlight that Beckham will address her struggles with dieting and body-image pressures under the glare of the tabloids. But at its core, the series will zoom in on her fashion reinvention, culminating in the high-stakes showcase of her 2024 Paris Fashion Week collection—a milestone moment in cementing her credibility as a designer.

Produced by Studio 99 (David Beckham’s company) alongside Dorothy St. Pictures, and directed by Nadia Hallgren—best known for Michelle Obama’s Becoming—the three-to-four-part docuseries is slated for release in September/October 2025.
