If you thought seven books, eight movies and a plethora of musicals and theme parks among other things were enough then you’d be wrong.
According to Radio Times, Max (formerly known as HBO Max) has announced a Harry Potter TV series is in the making and casting for the adaptation is set to begin in the next nine months with open calls already taking place.
Each Season of the upcoming Harry Potter TV series will be an adaptation of seven beloved Harry Potter books featuring a brand-new cast.
As expected, J.K. Rowling will executive produce the series alongside Neil Blair, Ruth Kenley-Letts and David Heyman who previously executively produced all eight Harry Potter movies between 2001 and 2011.

When is Harry Potter Season 1 set to release?
According to Deadline, the Harry Potter TV series can be expected to air somewhere between 2025 and 2026. It’s speculated that due to Max’s continuous alterations – such as changing its name from HBO Max to just Max – the streaming platform wants the TV series on its platform promptly.
Who are the Harry Potter Season 1 cast members?
As previously mentioned, cast members for the upcoming TV series will be hand-picked through open calls but fans of the Wizarding World franchise are already taking their guesses. According to Radio Times, rumours are spreading that British actor, Toby Wolf could be taking over as Harry Potter and even Tom Felton who starred as Draco Malfoy will apparently be playing his father, Lucius Malfoy in the new TV series.
What will Harry Potter Season 1 be about?
The TV series will follow the same storyline as all seven Harry Potter books that were published between 1997 and 2007.
