The upcoming season of the Netflix series has sparked heated conversation amongst netizens and royal watchers alike regarding whether or not the tragic incident should be depicted within the show

While fans of the show can hardly wait for the return of the award-winning Netflix series – which will see Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Pryce star in the roles of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh – royal watchers have taken to social media to share the outrage at rumours that the upcoming season will depict tragedy moments that occurred when Princess Diana died.

According to the Daily Mail, royal biographers and sources close to the royal family have shared their displeasure at the platform’s dramatic interpretation of the Princess’s death.
