Hundreds Of Drones Create A Giant Image Of Sheikh Mohammed In The Dubai Sky
They also formed the face of Sheikh Hamdan
Last night, hundreds of drones took to the Dubai sky to create an image of our ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The ten-minute display depicted a portrait of the ruler before the drones changed to formed the face of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The spectacle finished with a display of the words ‘Thank you Sheikh Mohammed’ and a message in Arabic promoting the UAE’s Year of Tolerance.
This iconic moment, set against the Burj Al Arab, comes just after Sheikh Mohammed celebrated his 50th year serving the UAE. “I would like to thank all those who showed appreciation in the mark of my 50 years of service. I dedicated 50 years of my life serving my country; it gave me experience, wisdom and lots of love and peace,” the ruler of Dubai writes on Instagram.
The event also aims to promote the Year of Tolerance, which 2019 has officially been named as.
With Khalifa's announcement of 2019 as the Year of Tolerance, we recall the great heritage that Sheikh Zayed founded on tolerance and today characterises UAE's diverse society. The world today needs universal human values to be promoted for the sake of future generations.
