A Space To Inspire

Inspiration meets innovation at the new design center of Ideal Standard, bringing together the best sanitary solutions suited for hospitality, educational, commercial, and residential sectors

Think contemporary and creative, and then imagine all the possibilities of design, innovation, and function and you will be able to conjure up what Ideal Standard – the world’s leading manufacturer of innovative bathroom solutions, was aiming for with their newly opened Dubai Design & Specification Center.

Located at City Walk and overlooking the magnificent view of the Burj Khalifa, the 700 square meter showroom with floor-to-ceiling windows, conceptualized and designed by Roberto Palomba, the Italian designer and founder of Palomba Serafini Associati is a one-stop creative zone that inspires and intrigues. “Our partnership with well-renowned Italian Architect and Chief Design Officer Roberto Palomba, who has inaugurated a new era of design and innovation, has proved invaluable in fortifying our relationships with designers in the region,” says Frederick Trzcinski, Vice President – Marketing & Innovation, Middle East Africa, who is enthusiastic about the growth prospects within the region. “Thanks in no small part to the development of this showroom in Dubai, we have attuned to the needs of the regional market and catered to demands for modern, contemporary solutions from different customer segments.”

Offering a combination of award-winning sanitary products, alongside the latest trends and inspirations from around the world, the space caters to satisfying the growing demands of global consumers who seek solutions appealing to modern lifestyles. Attracting interior designers and architects, homeowners and discerning clients across hospitality, commercial, educational, and residential sectors, the Dubai Design & Specification Center firmly cements itself as the destination of choice in the Middle East, connecting the Ideal Standard International network which operates in over 60 countries across Europe and Africa. Commenting on the growth of Ideal Standard in the Middle East, with its new ultra-modern showroom that doubles as a creative lounge and meeting place for architects, designers and clients, Trzynski shares: “The decision to designate Dubai as the destination for the new Design & Specification Centre was arrived at for many reasons, the most prominent of which was the presence of our headquarters, thereby positioning our designs and innovations within grasp of our client base. As this city has gradually cemented itself as one of the most important business hubs in the region, the decision to showcase our new Design & Specification Centre in Dubai was only fitting.”

The new state-of-the-art showroom offers the latest training and research to clients of large-scale projects, revealing the expertise of the privately-owned company renowned for its operating experience than spans over a century. Focusing on a culture of design by creating a seamless connection between aesthetic and function, engineering and technological innovation, Ideal Standard remains committed to excellence as a solution-oriented partner that puts experience at the heart of necessity. “Ideal Standard is facing an upward trajectory, seeking to expand markets laterally and within the GCC region. As a leading contemporary brand in bathroom solutions, our primary focus is designing and providing luxury solutions with tailored fittings,” says Trzynski. It is this bespoke approach to every project that has won the trust of clients who demand nothing less than superior quality and smart technologies to suit the evolving landscape of the region. “Due to our deliberated approach and ambition to expand, we have fortunately won several distinguished projects, including the South Stadium in Qatar and Waldorf Astoria in Kuwait, ultimately increasing our market share as an industry leader in the region.”

In addition to the dedicated support of an experienced team, the Dubai Design & Specification Center also offers research assistance, project estimates, and the latest globally inspired design trends that are tailored to specific projects, with a focus on health, safety, and environmental regulations. When asked about the future plans for the region, in particular the United Arab Emirates, Trzynski remains optimistic about strengthening relationships between the design community and clients who seek creative solutions that merge art, design, and technology. To that end he says, “We seek to extend our impact to regions of KSA, in product offering, availability, and consumer base. Looking ahead to the future, we anticipate continuing to expand our portfolio of brands and offering diversified designs ranging from classic and contemporary to modern innovations, envisaging to make every effort to meet market demands.”

“Under our current plans, we aim to solidify our position within the interior design market and the creative community to forge an intimate connection with art and design.” Frederick Trzcinski, Vice President – Marketing & Innovation, Middle East Africa
