Much to our delight, Cartier has just unveiled four new swoon-worthy collections: Panthère de Cartier Collection, Entrèlaces de Cartier Collection, Diabolo de Cartier Collection and Cartier Baby Collection.
The Cartier Christmas Collections comprise of simple and intriguing items like music boxes, sationary such as papers, notebooks and pencil for writing, a rattle for the baby, a game of solitaire to play, and a vase for decoration. These joyful products are suitable for mothers, babies, gifting and everyday use.
These four collections centre around themes of decoration, writing, childhood and games to bring beauty into your life. Precious and irresistible materials like metal, porcelain, leather, paper, cashmere were selected for their elegance and durability. Objects are practical, playful, delicate, portable, for young and for old, all linked by their emblematic codes: panther, Double C, menagerie and Maison signatures echoing the history and universe of Cartier.
The emblematic panther has embodied Cartier’s creations since 1914. Becoming a Maison legend, this motif runs throughout a contrasting collection of white, black, green and red. Porcelain objects with a trinket tray, ink pad, solitaire game and vase. Paper objects, a notebook, stationery and invitation cards and finally, a cashmere blanket.
Since the beginning of the 20th century, Cartier’s history has been filled with domestic and wild animals. A colourful menagerie resembling a Cabinet of Curiosities inspired a collection designed for babies. A butterfly, rabbit, panda and fox, each with stylised eyes featuring motifs of the Maison logo, stamped on childhood objects: egg cups, rattles, tumblers, silver photo frames and cashmere blankets.
A ribbon, Cartier’s reinterpretation of the double C motif, features on a collection of stationery: red or navy notebooks; porcelain objects: trinket trays and vases; lacquered wooden objects: jewellery cases and watch boxes.
