Design Miami/Basel To Return This Month

Design Miami is more than just a design show, being an annual design fair that takes place in Miami, Basel, and now Shanghai — it’s an accessible platform with the best-of-best furniture, lighting, and objets d’art from the 20th and 21st centuries, which are displayed by the world’s most prestigious galleries.
Each fair focuses on crafting stimulating collaborations between various design powerhouses and artists, as well as panelists and lectures by luminaries across the fields of design, architecture, art and fashion — all of whom are subject to rare commissions from the world’s best emerging or established designers and architects.
Furthermore, Design Miami, which first took place in 2005, has announced its return to Basel, Switzerland from 21-26 September 2021, as well as to Miami from 1-5 December, 2021 — with the core goal to collect, exhibit, discuss and create collectible design.
Moreover, it has been announced that the fair’s first edition of Design Miami/ Podium in Shanghai will take place in Shanghai from 4-14 November, 2021. Design Miami/ Podium x Shanghai is Design Miami’s first collectible design event in Asia, which will be presented in collaboration with Made in House and co-hosted by Hantang Culture.
With a sole focus on providing design aficionados and collectors with unique and high-quality designs, Design Miami is constantly enriching and expanding the programme’s focus as part of a continual process by raising brand awareness and supplying the market with interesting prospects.
Design Miami has recently launched the online store DM/BX, which will serve as a digital platform for rising designers with a variety of interests spanning numerous categories such as furniture, ceramics, books, jewellery, lighting, and haute design products.
The site, which will be rebuilt with updates and guest curators, will sell the work of the fair’s galleries, independent designers, producers, and businesses. As a result, this digital platform will allow consumers from all over the world to access the design-focused portal.
