Poltrona Frau Has Opened Its First Mall-Based Store in Dubai
Taking luxury living to new heights…
When the limits of creativity and expression are pushed, we get to experience a new level of artistry, and that is what Majid Al Futtaim aimed for with the opening of Poltrona Frau’s first mall-based store in Dubai’s Mall of the Emirates. “We’re not merely showcasing a brand,” explains Fahed Ghanim, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle. “This store is an opportunity for visitors to delve into the essence of Italian craftsmanship and design, a celebration of sophistication and comfort that defines Poltrona Frau’s enduring legacy.”

This being the second store in Dubai for the 112-year-old luxury Italian furniture brand, Poltrona Frau has envisioned the 500sqm space to be one that is fluid, vibrant, and welcoming. Designed by Italy’s most distinguished design studio, AMDL CIRCLE, best known for its humanistic architecture and design, the space boasts an exhibition path that gives visitors a chance to discover materials and object libraries, alongside distinct rooms and curated collections. With the aim of encouraging interaction and engagement with the pieces on display, the design incorporates visual stimuli to lure the eye to detail. Natural elements such as wood on floors and ceilings hint towards the traditional Italian lacunari, while limited-edition pieces such as the Infinitamente sculptural table in marble is presented alongside a curated selection of Poltrona Frau’s most renowned collections.
Presenting an immersive and experiential journey for those in search of statement pieces, the store offers visitors a stunning display of its most iconic luxury furniture collections designed by collaborators, artists, and designers from Italy, and all over the world. Preserving the brand’s legacy over the years, handmade pieces created with modern materials and production techniques that date back centuries remains a highlight. “The decision to open our inaugural mall store in the heart of Dubai is a testament to the seamless synergy between the refined preferences of the region’s customers and the timeless allure of Poltrona Frau’s luxury furniture,” says Nicola Coropulis, CEO of Poltrona Frau. A trademark of the brand that is appreciated by luxury buyers in the region is the patented Pelle Frau® leather, which is recognised internationally, appearing on the interiors of luxury cars such as Ferrari and Maserati.

On display at the newly opened store are some of the most distinguished collections by Poltrona Frau such as architect and designer Roberto Palomba’s Happy Jack sofa designed for the brand, and the iconic Let it Be, inspired by the famous Beatles song. In addition, pieces by Ceccotti Collezioni, the Italian brand renowned for its woodworking craftsmanship and design, are also available in store.
Offering bespoke design options, Poltrona Frau comprises three distinctive divisions including Residential, Custom Interiors, and Interiors in Motion (which specialises in exclusive interiors for luxury cars, yachts, and airlines). With iconic spaces such as the Dubai Opera, Louvre Abu Dhabi and Etihad Airways’ first and business class cabins sporting interiors decked out by the Italian brand, there’s no doubt that something to suit every style and requirement can be found here.
