Reset. Reconnect. Reflect: A Letter From The Editor | Harper’s Bazaar Arabia Junior S/S22
Nina Catt introduces the latest issue of Bazaar Junior – an issue full of hope and reflection. Step into spring with us, won’t you?
There is nothing more certain in life than change. It’s inevitable and oftentimes unpredictable. Sometimes we fear and resist it, other times welcome and wholeheartedly embrace it. If these past few capricious years have taught me anything, it’s to try and plan and predict less, and treasure each day as it is gifted. Life is for living, don’t wait to celebrate. I believe most of us will agree that we should take a leaf out of the unwritten rulebook that children unknowingly live their lives by – they really are on to something.
In this spirit as we leap into spring, a time to reset, reconnect and reflect as daffodils trumpet their cheerful heads into the air and the sweet song of baby birds fills the daybreak, we look to escaping bustling city life for an unforgettable adventure with the family. Whether your idea of unwinding is on the sugar-white sands of a remote paradise island or tearing through the sky on a rollercoaster with the little ones in tow, from page 27 we’ve shone a light on two spectacular destinations whose ethos ultimately brings loved ones together, to make magical memories that will last an eternity.
Speaking of eternity, for Swedish illustrator Cassandra Rhodin, preserving our precious planet is at the core of her sustainable childrenswear brand, Mini Rodini, as we discover in Scandi-Cool, on page 20. Sharing her commitment to reducing the impact that fashion has on our planet, the entrepreneurial mother of three reveals how her brand strives to use environmentally friendly fabrics such as recycled materials spun from collected ocean waste to create each collection. We adore highlighting stories such as these.
Whether it’s at home, at work or on a far-flung adventure, I hope you find precious moments of connection with those that you love as we usher in a new sunny season of joy. Enjoy our spring/summer issue…
