The experience lets you run riot prior to opening with Hamleys himself conducting the closed-door tour that not only lets you shop solo, and play with all that’s on offer, but also has dressed-up friends on hand for face-painting, magic tricks and music. Keep your cameras ready, as you then head outside the storied shop where your little one is the star as the countdown starts before everyone else is allowed in at opening time.
The beautifully-appointed suite itself consists of a palatial two bedroom space. The first bedroom is, of course, an intricately themed one in crimson and white that shows the link between the two cities that are intrinsic to both Rocco Forte Hotels and the toy store: London and Rome.
This is then connected to a spacious, very grown-up suite that’s an ideal retreat for parents. Our top tip?
