During the school holidays, as we all know, children have endless energy and little outlet for it. Here, Bazaar Arabia shares 12 of the best summer camps to enrol your children in so that everyone gets a bit of a break. Their fun? Check. Your relaxation? Double check.
Furry Friends
This summer camp run by The Petshop, in partnership with Ginger Way, is ideal for our animal lovers. It teaches children how to train rescue dogs before they are adopted; these essential training skills could always come in handy and helps give kids a better understanding of the responsibility in owning a pet. Running for 5 days across 3 sessions during July and August (July 8-12, July 15-19, and August 19-23), this is a short morning course that runs between 9am to 10.30am.

Junior Mechanics
This exciting initiative by the Sharjah Old Cars Club teaches teenagers (aged 13 to 18) the basics of car maintenance. The Sharjah Classic Cars Museum (SCCM) workshop will run from July 15-25, between 9am and 2pm. There are a variety of focus subjects on offer, but most importantly teens will be taught the safety and security requirements to owning a car.

Pro Golfers
For those that enjoy a good game of golf in the fresh air, this summer camp by Topgolf Dubai will give them an opportunity to perfect their swing. Aimed at budding champions, from the ages of 5 to 13, this camp will run every weekday between July 8 and August 23, from 8.30am to 2.15pm. Not only will they practice teeing off across a wide range of arcade games, (with the assistance of PGA professionals) they will also enjoy other activities, such as crafts and pool time at the Emirates Golf Club.

CAMP by Circuit Factory
From intensive sports such as boxing, badminton and basketball, to more therapeutic activities such as crafts, videography and team building, Circuit Factory has something for everyone. Children aged 8-15 can attend this camp on a daily, weekly, or term basis (July 8 to August 23). Even its 9000sq ft warehouse will barely be able to contain all their excitement.

Expo City
Expo City is an all-inclusive summer camp for your young ones! It runs from July 8 to August 23, and also has the flexibility to allow children to enrol for a day, or a week at a time. For kids aged 5 to 12, not only does it include tours of Expo City and all its pavilions, but additionally, workshops, games, robotics, sports with Athletic Football Club (AFC), crafts with Al Jalila Children’s Cultural Centre, photography with Nikon Kids Club, and even field trips to some of Dubai’s favourite hangouts and attractions. The camp runs from 9am to 2.30pm, but also accommodates parents’ availability. Ideal for families that need flexibility from their camp of choice.

Millennium Place Barsha Heights
Available for bookings between July 8 and August 23, parents can book their children in for either a day or a week in this one-of-a-kind hospitality program; Hospitality Ninjas. It is open on weekdays from 9am to 3pm, allowing children to engage in every activity imaginable; from cooking, to turndown service and even making towel animals. It even includes snacks and treasure hunts as extra incentives for the children.

Splash N’ Party
During the peak summer heat, the Splash N’ Party summer camp is the ideal choice to cool down little ones. This summer camp runs from July 3 until August 25 at their water parks, to make the summer heat so much more enjoyable. Parents even have the option of adding on lunches at the centre itself, avoiding panicked late night lunchbox prep. Children can be enrolled per day, per week or even per month, and it keeps them occupied between 9am to 1pm.

The Green Planet
For budding environmental enthusiasts, this summer camp powered by Instashop allows children to explore the natural environment indoors. Children aged 5 to 12 get to learn about different environmental areas and the kinds of animals that live in each habitat. It is also incredibly interactive, using games and arts and crafts to create a hands-on learning experience, and create awareness about how crucial it is to look after our planet. Children can be enrolled per day or per week, with timings running from 9am to 2pm.

Courtyard Playhouse
For children with incredibly imaginative minds that like to curl up with a book or movie, this camp will allow them to “jump into” their favourite stories, quite literally. From The Diary of a Wimpy Kid to Harry Potter, with a new book focus every day, the themed activities will range from theatre games, role-play and even arts and crafts. Not only is it incredibly fun, the activities will also help develop children’s confidence, communication and team-working skills. It allows all children aged 4 to 14 to enrol on a weekly basis, starting July 8, and ending August 23. The timings of the camp run in 2 sessions: from 9am to 12pm and from 1pm to 4pm.

Oli Oli
This colourful camp runs on a weekly basis, with creative, carefully planned themes that ensure something for everyone. The weekly themes include: Jurassic Blast, Space Blast, Tinker Blast, and Mess Blast, while the play area landscape is engaging to children of all ages. This particular camp runs in two slots: from 9.30am to 1pm or from 2pm to 5pm, for ages 4 to 10. The camp is available for booking between July 8 and August 23.

Ski Dubai
This summer camp takes the shape of any children’s dream vacation. Not only do they get to experience the extraordinary snow and skiing, as well as meeting exotic penguins, they are also able to enjoy trips to VOX Cinemas, Magic Planet, and several other attractions. It is open for booking between July 1 and August 30, on a daily and weekly basis, for children aged 4 to 12 years old, but under fives must be accompanied by a nanny or parent.

Adventure Zone
If your children are seeking something exhilarating, look no further. With several locations across the city, Adventure Zone offers children opportunities to rock climb, skateboard, learn about camping, and even unwind with yoga. This camp runs every weekday, starting July 3 until August 18, from 8am to 12pm. Parents have the opportunity to book their children aged 4 and above, on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis.
