The Fashion Entrepreneur Who Pairs Glossy Mules With a Cybex Stroller

When you become a mom, your needs change, but your personal style doesn’t have to. In “Mom Brain,” parents with great taste tell us what they’re buying—for their kids and for themselves.

Mixing luxury pieces with casual, everyday wear is Telsha Anderson-Boone’s trademark. A typical outfit of hers might consist of an elegant striped Christopher John Rogers button-up paired with light-wash jeans and patent leather Birkenstock 1774 clogs, or a cropped Gucci T-shirt styled with a calf-length, pleated Sacai skirt. That same high/low ethos is the driving force behind Anderson-Boone’s store, T.A. New York, which since 2020 has specialized in both emerging fashion brands and established labels.

Last summer, she and her husband welcomed their son, Shepherd. While Anderson-Boone’s style has evolved to accommodate floor crawls and reading sessions with the 1-month-old, it hasn’t lost its impeccable edge. Below, she shares her favourite mules to run around in, the best purse for stashing toilets and wipes, and the greatest piece of advice she’s received as a new parent.
