After spending fourteen years at the Real Madrid club, French striker Karim Benzema, announced that he will be joining the Saudi Arabian club — Al Ittihad.
Although it looked like the French striker was supposed to stay at the Real Madrid club for another year. However, the star athlete received an offer of over $100 million by the Saudi Arabian team, leading him to switch over to the new club.
Karim’s time at Real Madrid was nothing less than legendary. Playing hand-in-hand with none other than Christian Ronaldo and becoming the club’s super scorer. Over his fourteen years with the team, he won over 25 major trophies and scored an upward of 350 goals.
Even though his departure came as a surprise, both parties have ended amicably with Karim’s parting gift being a goal scored against the football club Athletic Bilbao at his final game with his alma mater.
