Market OTB: Thinking Outside The Box

Dubai’s unique lifestyle and retail concept, Market Outside The Box is back, bigger and better than ever, for its third year

Coinciding with Dubai Shopping Festival, Market OTB (which stands for Outside The Box) is on again at Burj Plaza in Downtown Dubai, with the Burj Khalifa providing a dramatic backdrop to proceedings. This year, 83 vendors have joined the ranks to offer everything from fashion to food and fitness to visitors to the park. The concept supports new and emerging business owners in a variety of fields and is designed to nurture and cultivate the entrepreneurial spirit, and allows retailers to engage with consumers in a more grass-roots, organic way than through traditional retail outlets. Bazaar‘s tip? Be sure to stop by Dina Zaki’s stall for a cuddle with her Pomeranian Coco and to admire the cool pieces on offer, and a visit to Selsela jewellery is a must.

In addition to the shopping, MOTB offers up an experience that the whole family will love, including live shows and entertainment for all ages. For the foodies among you, there are multiple food trucks, offering an array of cuisines including Dutch pancakes with Nutella from Holland, and Pakistani and Middle Eastern delicacies, as well an outdoor cinema that is showing the latest documentaries.

Running until January 30, and open each day, be sure to cancel any existing plans you have and head down to Burj Plaza as you don’t want to miss this.

MOTB is open Sunday-Thursday 4-10pm and from 10am-10pm on weekends. See www.dsfmarketotb.ae for more information
