Mo Salah Just Hosted A Penalty Shoot-Out At A Dubai School And It’s The Sweetest Thing We’ve Seen All Year

The pupils from Dubai English Speaking School quizzed Salah on his football career

From posting super cute snaps of his daughter Makka Salah to his annual visits back to his hometown in Nagrig, Egypt to visit his old school (he bought gym equipment for the community centre and present prizes to local kids every Ramadan), Mo Salah is every inch the family man.

And this week, the Egyptian-born footballer surprised kids at Dubai English Speaking School (DESS), where he held an hour-long press conference, answering questions about his football career, before hosting a penalty shoot-out for the kids.

Questions like, “what were your favourite and worst subjects in school?”, and “what was the highlight of your career?” were shouted out from excited pupils of the Dubai-based school. To which the Liverpool FC player replied, “I didn’t have a favourite subject in school so I’m glad I know how to play football. The day I scored the goal which qualified Egypt for the World Cup 2018 was a career highlight.”

DESS, where BAZAAR’s very own Milli Midwood attended for seven years from 1995 to 2002, shared a series of images on Instagram from the day, writing “Our children had the amazing opportunity to get up close and personal with @mosalah on Saturday. This once in a lifetime experience was at the #mosalah kids press conference and meet & greet session in association with @adidas.”

Salah then made an appearance at the adidas Originals store at The Dubai Mall, where he proceeded to great fans.
