WHO IS YOUR CAREER ROLE MODEL AND WHY?
Any and every female entrepreneur. Being a woman in business can have its difficulties, so I admire every women out there who has achieved.
WHAT INSPIRES YOU MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I truly don’t see it as a job, I feel it’s just an extension of who I am. I get to create movement that can, and does, change women’s bodies, changes the way they feel and – most of all – builds confidence within.
Describe yourself in three words…
Patient, Empathetic and Kind.
WHO OR WHAT FEEDS YOUR SOUL?
Having my husband and my children at the dinner table, eating and laughing, together over a homemade family dinner.
WHAT WOULD YOU TELL YOUR YOUNGER SELF?
Having patience is a gift and a blessing. Strength is an asset most respect. And forever work on you for you and only you, because that’s who’s opinion matters most.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PASSIONATE ABOUT AND WHY?
Making women aware that they need to find movement for longevity. Not to move just for today, but to move and strengthen our bodies for a purpose and our future selves.
PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT?
My six children are my greatest achievement. My wealth is in my children and the human beings I am raising to be a part of this world.
THE KEY TO SUCCESS IS…
Fall in love with what you do, work hard on it, on yourself, and continue to learn in every way possible. Success comes from internal growth.
WHAT CHALLENGES HAVE YOU FACED?
The industry has changed, it’s very superficial – fitness professionals are judged on their abs or glutes. When I was studying at university, the fitness industry was all about your knowledge and qualifications. We are dealing with the human body and that shouldn’t be taken lightly.
WHAT LIFE-DEFINING MOMENT CHANGED THE WAY YOU THINK ABOUT EVERYTHING?
Losing my father suddenly in 2015 changed my perception of relationships, life, work, and even my own beliefs. The loss of a parent, and in my case sudden loss, is one that nothing in life prepares you for. That moment in life changed who I was, but gave me the strength to become who I am. And for that lesson, pain and journey, I’ll show gratitude.
I believe in…
All good things come to those who work hard for it
CAN WE HAVE IT ALL?
I believe in balance, we can have as much as we work hard at.
WHAT DO YOU LISTEN TO MOST – YOUR HEAD, HEART OR GUT – AND WHY?
I’m a heart person all the way. I’m learning to adapt and listen more to my gut/head. But my heart always seems to lead my decision making
HAPPINESS IS… A state of mind; it’s a choice.
