After captivating blind introductions by the women, where the public had the opportunity to hear from Miss Universe Bahrain’s top 15 contestants without seeing their faces, the judges revealed the thrilling final line-up for the competition earlier this month.
Below, Bazaar Arabia shares insights into Bahrain’s top contestants from this year’s pageant…
1. Shereen Ahmed
After placing 2nd runner-up at for Miss Universe Bahrain 2022, judges’ pick Shereen is back for a second shot at the Miss Universe stage. Professionally a TV presenter, Shereen has also been content creator and model for 14 years. Backstage, her hobbies including cycling, poetry, writing, and travelling spontaneously. At 29 years young, she believes age is just a number when it comes to making differences and continues her advocacy to empower single mothers in Bahrain.

2. Advaita Shetty
28-year-old Advaita is certainly no stranger to the pageant spotlight. After placing as the 1st runner-up both in Miss New Zealand 2022 and Miss Universe Bahrain 2023, Advaita returns as a judges’ pick finalist for this year’s competition. As a professional audiologist, she raises awareness about hearing health in her community. With a belief to transform victims to victors, she actively advocates for sexual harm prevention with non-profit organization, Shamsaha, helping women in Bahrain.

3. Michelle Almas
Born and raised in Bahrain and now pursuing her master’s in London, 29-year-old Michelle is a big foodie at heart with her Instagram food blog @hippiemish. Apart from her blog and academics, she’s a certified yoga teacher, tutor and painter in her free time. After overcoming cancer at the age of 25, she learnt to appreciate life and campaigns for better mental and physical health.

4. Ameena Alalawi
The 19-year-old model documents her world of visual arts as she finds a blend between creativity and beauty. For Ameena, beauty isn’t just about looks; it’s the essence of everything and everyone. Whether it’s painting on a canvas or striking a pose, she continues to capture this essence with charm and allure. Her dream for the future is to look back in life and smile knowing she’s done everything in her power to make the world a better place.

5. Kiara Chhabra
For 27-year-old Kiara, performing arts has always been her muse. With belly dancing and theatre acting experience, she was picked as the top fan vote choice from Miss Universe Bahrain’s top 15. As a financial literacy advocate, she works towards educating people to make informed financial decisions so economic empowerment can be within reach for all. A globe-trotter as a cabin crew member, Kiara firmly believes that true beauty is found in the depth of one’s character.

6. Ola
Ola introduces herself as more than just a contestant in a pageant. The 29-year-old is a story-teller, visionary, and artist as she paints the canvas of her life with colours of courage and conviction. She takes pride in having the opportunity to highlight the achievements woman of Bahrain achieve in their private and social life. To her, life is a pageant where every turn presents an opportunity to shine, inspire, and leave your mark on the world.

7. Karina Ivanova
27-year-old Karina is strongly passionate about self-improvement and growth both personally and professionally. Her exuberant career path can be seen in her experience as a fashion model, dancer, and now as a businesswoman. A hobbyist paddle-player, she also understands that life in not only about work and play. Familiarizing herself with political crises, she is now a certified Red Crescent volunteer, providing basic needs to people affected in Gaza.

8. Eman Alasfoor
Computer scientist-turned-actor Eman always had the childhood dream of being an actor. She turned her dreams to reality as she joined acting workshops in Dubai, Philippines, and Canada, and landed her first ever movie role last year. Proficient in 3 languages, the 27-year-old is currently volunteering as medical staff in Canada, assisting doctors with their patients. She works tirelessly raising awareness on diversity in culture, body positivism while maintaining a balanced lifestyle and mental health.

9. Jehan Alrowaie
From working behind the scenes as a fashion design student to being a stunning model on the runway, the dynamic 22-year-old truly shows she has a passion for fashion. She sticks to her strength of never giving up, she navigates life’s challenges with her life coach’s guidance. A lover of all cats but mother of one, Jehan describes herself as a lively experience in a human body.
