In the months that followed the Jordan Royal Wedding last year, the spotlight was firmly been fixed on the Royal Hashemite Court and the extended family of King Abdullah II.
One particular young royal was recently in the limelight after getting engaged to his sweetheart earlier this year: Aoun Juma. While he may not be as famous as some of his cousins, the public is still curious to know more about the next member of the royal family to walk down the aisle.

Who is Aoun Juma?
Aoun Juma is King Abdullah II’s nephew.
Aoun Juma was born on May 27, 1992 to Princess Aisha Bint Hussein, the King of Jordan’s sister, and Zeid Saadedine Juma, making him cousins with Crown Prince Al Hussein, Prince Hashem, Princess Iman and Princess Salma. He has a sister named Muna.
Aoun has a strong relationship with his family
Despite his media distancing and maintaining his privacy, Mr. Aoun is famous for his good manners and friendly personality. His aunt Princess Alia bint Al Hussein, who is known for her closeness to all princes, describes him as “Al-Jada”, while his uncles from the Juma family reportedly describe him as “the blessings of men” and his classmates at school assured that at the time he always kept his promises and kept his word.
He graduated from Sandhurst.
Like many members of royal families around the world, Aoun Juma graduated from Sandhurst Military Academy on April 17, 2017, making him the first grandson of the late King Hussein bin Talal to graduate from the same academy.
He follows his mother’s footsteps, Princess Aisha, who was one of the most active members of the Hashemite royal family, especially in the military field. Being one of the first ladies within the family to attend the Sandhurst Military Academy in Britain.
Aoun Juma is engaged.
Back in February Aoun Juma and Lena Abbas announced their engagement. Though the bride-to-be keeps a relatively low profile and doesn’t appear to have social media, the couple were all smiles to the camera, celebrating with an intimate event that appeared to just include family and friends.
While it’s unclear how they pair met, sources report Lena works for her family’s business and grew up between Doha and Canada. For her engagement party she wore a beautiful dress and embroidered cape by Almayasa Haute Couture, a Qatari brand.
When will Aoun Juma and Lena Abbas get married? At the moment no details about their upcoming nuptials have been revealed.
