HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani And HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Attend Sheikha AlMayassa’s Graduation

The mass ceremony recognised close to 300 pupil from seven different schools…

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Qatar Foundation, attended the Qatar Foundation Schools Commencement Ceremony, which honoured 290 proud school graduates.

The convocation recognised the achievements of the students, including 246 Qataris, from seven educational facilities.

Her Excellency Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, Vice Chairperson and CEO of Qatar Foundation, was also in attendance at the ceremony that took place at the Qatar National Convention Centre.

Dignitaries, ministers, diplomats, teachers, faculty members, and the families of the graduates were also part of the event.

Her Highness Sheikha Moza bint Nasser was also a proud grandmother at the occasion as Sheikha AlMayassa bint Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Amir of the State of Qatar, was amongst the graduating students.

In videos making rounds online, His Highness was also seen amongst the audience.


Sheikha AlMayassa graduated from Qatar Academy Doha (QAD), which is the largest school in the Qatar Foundation family.

In a video Sheikha Moza posted on her Instagram page, Sheikha AlMayassa is seen warmly greeting her grandmother and aunt, Sheikha Hind.

Sheikha Moza and Sheikha Hind both chose to adorn abayas for the occasion. While Sheikha Moza was seen in an elegant navy piece, Sheikha Hind arrived in a sophisticated beige ensemble.

The commencement ceremony celebrated the achievements of students from QAD, Qatar Academy Al Khor, Qatar Academy Sidra, Qatar Academy for Science and Technology, Qatar Leadership Academy, Qatar Academy Al Wakra, and Awsaj Academy.

Each graduate walked the stage to cheers and received their diplomas. The highest-performing students were awarded for their achievements as well.
