How HRH Princess Reema Bint Bandar Al Saud Is Utilising The Power of Social Media To Raise Awareness For Various Causes

Her dedication to the conversation of the world’s wildlife and her advocacy for female empowerment are truly admirable…

Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, the Saudi Arabian ambassador to the United States, made history when she took office in February 2019 as KSA’s first-ever female ambassador in the Kindom’s history. And while she is making great diplomatic strides, she’s also known for being an advocate and champion of change not just at home, but abroad and across multiple causes.

Having received an honorary doctorate from Marymount University for her continuous advocacy in empowering women across a variety of sectors — not only within KSA, but around the world — Bazaar Arabia looks at how Her Royal Highness is raising awareness for a few causes that are near and dear to her across social media.

Big Cat Conservation

Princess Reema is a large advocate for the world’s big cats and uses her platform for good by sharing information and news on mammals such as jaguars, cheetahs, and lions.

Most notably Her Royal Highness recently began the Catwalk initiative where thousands of people around the world will walk to support Big Cat Conservation.

The Zahra Breast Cancer Awareness Association

Princess Reema is an advocate for Breast Cancer and has shown her support by becoming a founding member of the Zahra Breast Cancer Awareness Association which is located in Riyadh.

The association aims to spread awareness across the country for early detection, prevention, treatment of the disease and, ultimately, recovery.

World Animal Day

In addition to her work with conserving big cats, Princess Reema also supports World Animal Day.
