HRH Prince Abdul Mateen Bolkiah of Brunei Will Get Married in January 2024

Bazaar Arabia shares everything we know about the upcoming Bruneian royal wedding

Prince Abdul Mateen ibni Hassanal Bolkiah, the 32-year old son of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei, the Sultan and Prime Minister of Brunei, will wed Anisha Rosnah binti Adam, in a ceremony that will commence on January 7, 2024, with an Islamic ceremony to follow on January 15.

The 10th child and 4th son of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Prince Abdul attended King’s College London in 2014 and Defence Helicopter Flying School in 2018. A lover of adventure and sports, the Prince has been seen skydiving in Dubai and playing polo at the South East Asian Games. Prince Abdul is an active member of the military, serving as a Major in the Royal Brunei Air Force from 2010.

Prince Abdul has recently been traveling the world and meeting with important political figures in the Middle East, including the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, HRH Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud, and the Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Bahrain, HH Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The Prince was also present at the recent Royal Jordanian wedding.

The bride-to-be Anisha Rosnah binti Adam is the granddaughter of a special advisor to the Sultan. The couple have been spotted together often, most notably at Princess Azemah Ni’matul Bolkiah’s wedding earlier this year in January.
