Jordan’s royal family has had plenty to celebrate this year and there’s more to come! Back in March the oldest daughter of King Abdullah II of Jordan and Queen Rania, Princess Iman bint Abdullah, celebrated her nuptials to Jameel Thermiotis while also preparing for the wedding of Crown Prince AlHussein bin Abdullah to Rajwa Alseif.
Jordan’s Princess Salma Graduates From University
The royal court announced in a tweet that King Abdullah II of Jordan had left for the United States of America to attend Princess Salma’s graduation ceremony from the University of Southern California where Her Royal Highness has completed a degree in archaeology.

Princess Salma Abdullah II is the second daughter of the King of Jordan, Abdullah II bin Al Hussein, and Queen Rania Al Abdullah. Born in Amman on September 26, 2000 she has three siblings: Crown Prince AlHussein, Princess Iman and Prince Hashem.
Military Success
In 2020, the Royal Court announced that Princess Salma had passed basic training as a fixed-wing pilot, the first Jordanian woman to do so. She then attended Royal Military College, Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, graduated from it after completing a short training course in November 2018, when she was 18 years old.
Princess Salma holds the rank of First Lieutenant in the Jordanian Air Force. She participated in the opening ceremony of the Military Women’s Training Center in Zarqa on behalf of her father, The King; the center was established in cooperation between the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization “NATO” in June 2021.
A Lover of Music
Crown Prince AlHussein highlighted his younger sister’s love for music by sharing a sweet video of the two of them on his Instagram.
She was noticeably absent from her sister, Princess Iman’s, henna party… for good reason.
She sparked controversy by not attending her sister Princess Iman’s henna ceremony, where all the women from the Jordanian royal family were present, in addition to the fiancée of Crown Prince Hussein, Ms Rajwa Alseif. It was later announced that she couldn’t attend due to being in America for her studies.
