The holy month of Ramadan brings with it a profoundly spiritual and healing energy, inspiring practicing Muslims around the world to fulfill their religious duties and responsibilities.
Performing Umrah – the minor Islamic pilgrimage in Mecca, the holy Muslim city – is one such duty, and although it can be performed at any given time, it is particularly rewarding and gratifying during the holy month of Ramadan.

On Monday, Crown Prince Al-Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan took to social media to announce that he performed Umrah during the holy month of Ramadan. His Royal Highness was filled with gratitude considering the particular spiritual significance of performing Umrah during the Holy Month. “Praise be to Allah who honored us with performing Umrah in this holy month,” writes his Royal Highness.
The Crown Prince of Jordan additionally prayed that the Kingdom of Jordan and its people be protected, writing, “O Allah, protect Jordan and its people.” He concluded his statement with an expression of gratitude, using the phrase “Alhamdulillah” which translates to “Gratitude to God.”
His Royal Highness was joined by Prince Omar bin Faisal, Prince Nayef bin Asem, and Prince Rakan bin Mired; in addition to members of the Jordanian Armed Forces, entrepreneurs, activists, athletes, media professionals, and other individuals.
After performing his prayers at the Grand Mosque in Mekkah, the Crown Prince of Jordan had iftar with the group, breaking their fast in unison.
