What Queen Rania Wore: Her Majesty Redefines Royal Elegance in Elie Saab

Having been a long-time fan of the brand, Bazaar Arabia shares a few of her most recent looks, crafted by the famed Lebanese designer here

Throughout the past few months, Jordanians have celebrated a number of important historical moments, from Princess Iman’s wedding and Prince Hashem’s graduation to the marriage of HH Crown Prince AlHussein and Princess Rajwa – and, as always, fashion appears to captivate royal fans more than anything else, the spotlight seemingly always firmly fixed on Her Majesty Queen Rania’s dressing habits. What will she wear to the occasion? Will it be a regional designer or, perhaps, will she opt for couture piece by a French maison?

Her Majesty’s impeccable choices not only reflect her innate sense of style but also establish her as a global trendsetter. With a profound desire to exhibit elegance while simultaneously making a resounding impact on the world of Arab fashion, Queen Rania has regularly been turning to renowned designer Elie Saab. The Lebanese couturier’s ability to craft high-end collections that transcend the boundaries of different cultures has become a natural choice for Her Majesty. From family celebrations to charity events, Her Majesty clearly has a penchant for the designer’s beautiful creations.

Here, Bazaar Arabia shares a closer look at a few of Her Majesty’s most celebrated looks of the late, courtesy of the famed Lebanese designer.

For A Good Cuase: The King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s Hope Gala Fundraiser

Earlier this week Her Majesty attended the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s Hope Gala fundraiser in Amman, Jordan. She wore a customized look from the Lebanese designer’s Spring/Summer 2023 Haute Couture Collection.

While the original dress from the collection, look Number 55, was strapless Queen Rania opted to have her gown modified. Her Majesty’s take boasts fewer embellishments and a high neckline; the colour of her dress is best described as lavender or powder blue (instead of sea foam green which we saw on the catwalk.)

Nuptial Bliss: At The Wedding of HH Crown Prince AlHussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa

While it was certainly a big day for the Crown Prince and Princess of Jordan, the grand celebrations indirectly paid tribute to the craftsmanship of the Lebanese designer. He designed both Princess Rajwa’s first wedding dress — the one she was married in — and Queen Rania’s evening gown.

Her Majesty looked every bit the part of doting Mother of The Groom in a white-and-gold cape dress embellished with intricate beading and embroidery.
