Queen Rania Hosts An Iftar For The Women of Irbid, Jordan

Her Majesty stepped out in a black jalabiya, embellished with colourful embroidery and blue detailing, as she shared her gratitude for the women’s contribution to society

Queen Rania of Jordan has been busy throughout Ramadan as she celebrates the Holy Month with both the royal family and the people of Jordan.

Having recently joined King Abdullah II of Jordan and Crown Prince Al Hussein in Aqaba for an iftar with a group of orphaned children and youth, she hosted another event yesterday evening for women of Irbid working across a variety of sectors including education, media, culture, social welfare, and volunteer work.

Celebrating their contributions to society and throughout the governorate of Irbid, Her Majesty praised their hard work and dedication as she sat down to break fast together with the ladies at an iftar, which took place at Jordan University for Science and Technology.

Watch the highlights from the iftar below.

“I am happy to be with you today. Thank you for your warm welcome,” Queen Rania said, according to her official website. “Irbid is known for its beauty in the spring. I love coming here.”
