Queen Rania Was A Vision In White As King Abdullah II’s Silver Jubilee Tour Starts in Aqaba
The Jordanian royal family engaged with local leaders and community figures to celebrate the Silver Jubilee and promote national unity
As His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan celebrates his silver jubilee, marking 25 years since he ascended to the throne, the Jordanian royal family initiated a country-wide tour, beginning with a significant visit to Aqaba.
Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II were also seen accompanying the king on the occasion.
Queen Rania sported a long traditional white and purple piece, paired with matching heels and her signature low bun.
Speaking at a meeting with local community leaders and figures in the city, held at Aqaba Castle, His Majesty said developing the governorate was a dream and an idea 25 years ago, but has become a reality today with the efforts of dedicated Jordanians.
At the gathering, the King said the source of Jordan’s strength lies in the joint efforts of all Jordanians and their belief in their ability to succeed.
The tour began in the city as it has great historical and economic significance, underscoring the royal family’s intent to highlight and support various sectors across the kingdom.
Aqaba Governor Khaled Hajjaj said Jordan has become an example of progress and prosperity, adding that the country’s great transition is a source of pride for all citizens.

He added that Aqaba is moving forward with implementing the Royal vision through programmes to promote youth empowerment and entrepreneurship, bolster the social safety net, and provide incentives to investors, in order to build on the governorate’s progress and contribute to the national economy.
Queen Rania took to her Instagram page to share a picture from the visit and the Royal Hashemite Court shared a video with the highlights of the trip.
