#CelebratingAlHussein: Queen Rania Highlights The Beauty of Jordanian Culture Ahead of The Royal Wedding

Just days before the nuptials of HRH Crown Prince AlHussein bin Abdullah II and Ms. Rajwa Alseif, Her Majesty shares an emotional video clip with her followers – one that showcases the important role of tradition and heritage when celebrating a union…

We have no doubt the nuptials of HRH Crown Prince AlHussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan and his fiancée, Ms. Rajwa Alseif, will be nothing short of a modern-day fairytale, one that is sure to be steeped in culture.

While we’re anticipating seeing many different Jordanian customs throughout the celebrations, we’re certainly curious to know whether or not any elements from Rajwa Alseif’s Saudi background will make their way into the festivities. Has she chosen a Saudi designer to design her dress? Will there be hidden motifs in the decor? Only time will tell…

As we wait on bated breath to find out more about the wedding, Her Majesty Queen Rania shared a taste of what’s to come with her followers – and one thing that we can take away is that the day will be a celebration of not only the couple’s love but those special traditions unique to Jordan.

“Beautiful traditions and beautiful people… Thank you Um Ayman for your lovely words, and God bless every Jordanian home! #CelebratingAlHussein,” she wrote within the caption.

How To Watch The Jordanian Royal Wedding Live

Roya TV will be providing live coverage of the wedding, which can be streamed via its web platform. The television company has created a special live stream channel that will broadcast content related to the wedding in the days leading up to the nuptials (see here). Fans who are looking to watch the wedding live can tune in for free via the web or the Roya TV app.

Who is Rajwa Alseif, Crown Prince AlHussein’s Fiancée?

Born on April 28, 1994, Rajwa Alseif is the youngest daughter of Saudi businessman Khalid bin Musaed bin Saif bin Abdulaziz al-Saif and his wife, Azza bint Nayef Abdulaziz Ahmed al-Sudairi. She has four older siblings: Faisal, Nayef, and Dana. She is exactly two months older than Prince Hussein, who was born on June 28, 1994, and was raised in KSA.

After completing secondary school in Saudi Arabia, Rajwa studied in New York at the College of Architecture at Syracuse University. In addition to holding a B.A. in Architecture, she also holds a degree in Visual Communications from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. She has reportedly worked at an architecture firm in Los Angeles.

Her engagement to Crown Prince AlHussein was announced last August, just a few weeks after Princess Iman’s engagement to Jameel Thermiótis was announced.

While Rajwa keeps a relatively low profile and doesn’t appear to have a public social media account, her love of equestrian sports is evident; the future Queen of Jordan has posed for photos with her beloved horses in recent portraits.

What is the official hashtag of the wedding?

#CelebratingAlHussein seems to be a consistent tag used across social media.
