The Emir of Qatar And HH Sheikha Jawaher Pay Dutch Royals A Visit In The Netherlands

The official trip aims to foster the relationship between the two influential countries

Today, the Netherlands is abuzz with the arrival of the Emir of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, who is visiting alongside his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.

The royal couple is being officially received by His Majesty King Willem-Alexander and Her Majesty Queen Máxima, marking the beginning of a day poised to strengthen the bonds between these two influential nations.

During the visit, they will also be meetings with Prime Minister Mark Rutte and the presidents of the House of Representatives and the Senate.

These dialogues are expected to focus on enhancing cooperation across a spectrum of critical sectors, such as sustainable energy, water management, food security, and maritime innovation, a statement by the Royal House of The Netherlands read.

Sheikha Jawaher wore a cream blazer paired with a flowy skirt for the occasion. Queen Máxima sported a sky blue A-line skirt and blouse ensemble completed with a hat.

The bilateral relationship between the Netherlands and Qatar has flourished in recent years. Qatar has become a cornerstone partner for the Netherlands in maintaining stability and security, promoting peace, and upholding the international legal order.
