It’s a big birthday today for one particular Dubai royal. His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance; the son of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and the younger brother of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, is celebrating his 40th birthday.

To celebrate this occasion Sheikh Hamdan, Sheikh Maktoum’s older brother, posted a heartwarming video on his Instagram story.
The video depicts childhood photos of the two brothers with their father, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed.
In January of this year, the Royal announced the birth of his daughter Sheikha Shaikha. According to Arabian Business, their baby girl is Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum’s third daughter with his wife, Sheikha Maryam bint Butti Al Maktoum. The two royals had their first daughter; Hind in November 2020 and later their second daughter; Latifa in January 2022.
Who is Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum of Dubai?
His Highness Sheikh Maktoum acts as the chairman of multiple government authorities and councils. In 2006, His Highness obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the American University in Dubai and has since completed several training courses at the Dubai School of Government and Harvard University.
The Dubai Royal has held the position of Deputy Ruler of Dubai since 2008, and the position of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in the Government of the UAE since 2021.
On May 15, 2019, His Highness married Sheikha Maryam bint Butti bin Maktoum Al Maktoum in a lavish ceremony at Dubai World Trade Center. The couple have 3 daughters together.
