HH Sheikha Latifa Inaugurates Dubai Design Week 2023

Dubai Design Week presents a number of innovative installations, exhibitions and talks from November 7 to November 12

Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Vice President Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, visited Dubai Design District to launch the ninth edition of the annual Dubai Design Week.

The Dubai royal toured the space with Khadija Al Bastaki, the Senior Vice President of D3, and visited several installations, talking to artists and learning more about their creative vision.

From November 7 to November 12, Dubai Design District will light up with immersive installations, innovative exhibitions and thought-provoking talks. This year will feature over 500 designers and architects from 40 countries who will showcase their unique innovations and perspectives to nurture the ever-growing community of artists and art enthusiasts in Dubai.

As the Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and member of the Dubai Council, Her Highness Sheikha Latifa is known for her efforts in preserving the rich tapestry of arts and design in the UAE, solidifying Dubai’s status as the creative hub of the Middle East.

The Dubai royal recently visited Dubai Calligraphy Biennale which showcased traditional, contemporary and typographic calligraphy by over 200 global artists.

Dubai Design District recently unveiled the Van Cleef & Arpels’ L’École Middle East, School of Jewelry Arts which is all set to open on November 23. The school will offer a list of comprehensive courses, workshops, in-person and online talks, suitable for new and experienced students.
