Sheikha Moza Bint Nasser Al-Missned Spotted Cheering For Morocco’s Victory Against Spain

The Qatari royal shared an array of images from the winning match

The day was December 2, 2010, and those who sat impatiently waiting for Sepp Blatter to announce the next FIFA World Cup 2022 host couldn’t have possibly imagined it would be what we now recognise as a futuristic country filled with skyscrapers and ultramodern architecture, Qatar.

Since one of the most well-known and prestigious football tournaments commenced on November 20, it has exceeded the expectations of those around the globe. If one thing is certain it’s that the Middle East is quickly taking centre stage, with Saudi Arabia making history with their win against twice FIFA World Cup winners – Argentina to now Morocco’s triumph against Spain which resulted in the team becoming the first-ever Arab team to reach the quarter-finals.

Nothing less than excitement and hope fills the air and those celebrating the victory included Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Missned – consort to the Emir of Qatar as well as co-founder and chairperson for the Qatar Foundation for Education and Science and Community Development who looked overjoyed for the team.

Sheikha Moza shared an array of images on her Instagram page after Morocco’s win with the caption, “Congratulations to the Moroccan team for qualifying for the quarter-finals.” The Qatari royal looked elegant as always in a red ensemble paired with statement jewellery.
