Congratulations to Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah and Princess Rajwa on the newest addition to their growing family. Their Royal Highness welcomed the arrival of HRH Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The happy news was shared with the public on Saturday morning by the Royal Hashemite Court. King Abdullah II and Queen Rania also shared touching posts across their official social media channels.

When Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah met Princess Rajwa…
According to Crown Prince Al Hussein, they met through a mutual friend. He revealed details about their courtship stating “I met Rajwa through an old friend from school,” adding, “I consider myself lucky because it is not every day you meet someone like Rajwa.”
The precise date of their meeting has not been disclosed with the public, however, we suspect it was likely in 2021/2022.
A Royal Engagement (August 2022)
In August 2022, the couple’s engagement was officially announced to the public. The pair were engaged at Princess Rajwa’s family home in the Saudi capital of Riyadh.
Both Queen Rania and King Abdullah, as well as other members of the royal family, were present to celebrate the union. When the Prince proposed to his Princess, he presented her with a three-stone pear-cut diamond ring by the iconic jewellery house, Harry Winston.
Soon after Princess Rajwa began making official appearances by his side.
Wedding Announcement (December 2022)
The Royal Hashemite Court shared the official date of the wedding on December 31st, 2022 on Instagram, stating that the ceremony would take place on June 1st, 2023.
Celebrating Princess Iman’s Wedding En Famille (March 2023)
The couple attended Princess Iman’s intimate nuptials to Greek-Venezuelan venture capitalist Jameel Alexander Thermiotis on March 12, 2023 at Beit Al Urdon Palace in Amman. Princess Rajwa wore a dazzling yellow dress by London-based designer Roksanda.
Wedding Preparations: Princess Rajwa Prepares For Her Nuptials with An Extravagant Henna Party (May 2023)
Around a week ahead of the big day, Queen Rania hosted a henna party for the bride-to-be, where it became very emotional. The Queen dedicated a beautiful speech to her new daughter-in-law, leaving her in tears from her words of welcome and wisdom.
The Royal Wedding (June 2023)
On June 1, 2023, world leaders came together to celebrate the union of the Crown Prince and the now Princess in Amman, Jordan. Wedding guests included Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton as well as other VIPs.
The wedding nuptials included a katb al-kitab, followed by a wedding reception, which involved a dress change for Princess Rajwa. Her first gown was by Lebanese designer Elie Saab, which had a sculpted asymmetrical neckline and floral detailing. Later that evening she had an outfit change, where she wore a sweetheart neckline ballgown by Italian house Dolce&Gabbana.
The Pregnancy Announcement (April 2024)
The Crown Prince and Princess shared the wonderful baby news to the public in April 2024, less than one year after tying the knot.

Princess Rajwa gave birth on August 3, 2024. News was shared with the public via the Royal Hashemite Court’s official channels, with both King Abdullah II and Queen Rania sharing a touching messages.
“Praise be to God who gave us our first granddaughter, Iman bint Al-Hussein,” the posts on His Majesty’s official account reads in Arabic. “I congratulate Al-Hussein and Rajwa on their newborn baby. We ask God to give her good growth and protect her for her parents.”
Princess Rajwa First Public Appearance With HRH Princess Iman bint Al Hussein bin Abdullah II’s First Public Appearance
On August, 7 2024, Princess Rajwa was seen publicly for the first time after delivering her daughter. In as video shared, Princess Rajwa appears to be wearing a Valerie Long shirt dress by designer, Evi Grintela. The new mother, with her husband, Crown Prince Hussein, by her side, was seen greeting the people of Jordan on her way out. The Crown Prince Hussein’s youngest sister, Princess Salma bint Abdullah also appeared to be escorting the couple out of the hospital.
Crown Prince Hussein shared beautiful family photos, after HRH Princess Iman arrived home for the first time.
