On Thursday, a verified Instagram account went live for a lifestyle line called American Riviera Orchard by the Duchess of Sussex.
Its first nine posts formed a grid image with a monogram, the brand name, and the word “Montecito”, the town in California where Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, currently live with their two children. The comments are currently switched off on the page.
The account also features a video uploaded on its Instagram Stories, showing hands arranging flowers; Meghan stirring a pot in a kitchen; and a woman in a ball gown standing at the end of a long corridor with Nancy Wilson’s I Wish You Love playing in the background.
All of this, naturally, begs the question…

At the moment there are no clues (aside from what was posted on Instagram Stories) as to what the brand could be or whether or not Meghan plans to sell products or relaunch her old blog, The Tig.
The bio section of the Instagram account, which already has over 308,000 followers, says “by Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex” and “Established 2024”.

The Duchess of Sussex filed for a trademark for American Riviera Orchard on February 2, according to reports. As per the document, the brand will sell cookbooks, tableware, drinkware, and servingware at retail stores and online. The company also plans to sell food and beverages including jams, fruit preserves, vegetable-based spreads, and more.
The part of California where Meghan, Prince Harry, and their children live is often referred to as the “American Riviera” and is known as a secluded haven for celebrities who live there, such as Oprah Winfrey and Orlando Bloom.
The 42-year-old former Suits star has recently been in the public eye more in the US.
She spoke last week about bullying on social media at the SXSW festival, a few days before a US judge threw out her half-sister’s defamation lawsuit against her. She was also recently seen making traditional Afghan dishes with refugees as part of a campaign.
