AlUla International Airport: Everything We Know About The New Terminal

If you needed one more reason to finally visit the magical AlUla, consider the fact that it will soon be more accessible than ever. The Royal Commission for AlUla (RCU) recently announced plans for a second International Airport Terminal that would allow for 15 times more people to visit the world’s largest museum per annum. The plans also reveal a new hotel and spa to support this expansion.

In March 2021, Terminal One became an international airport, only allowing domestic arrivals prior to this change. The Terminal currently accommodates 400,000 annual visitors; however, the new expansion will enable the site to host 6 million visitors each year—a significant development.

Furthermore, the newly-launched site also includes provisions for facilitating 15 simultaneous flights, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to enhancing air accessibility and positioning the site as a pivotal logistics hub in alignment with Vision 2030. The RCU also announced an exciting partnership with Qatar Airways to connect the area with the airline’s 160 destinations through Doha with two weekly flights.
