UAE Private and Public Holidays: The Next Long Weekend is Only A Few Weeks Away

With the Eid al-Adha long weekend having come and gone, many of us are wondering if we have to wait until December for the next one. Fortunately, a three-day extended weekend is less than two months away.
UAE Holidays: When is The Next Long Weekend?
Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday is scheduled to fall on Friday, September 29, 2023, meaning it’s likely both the public and private sectors will have a day off. This means that the weekend of Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1st will be a three-day long extended one.
This will be the last long weekend until National Day long weekend, which will take place the first week of December.

What are the next upcoming holidays in UAE?
While some dates are subject to official announcement as per lunar sightings, it’s looking like the following dates will be holidays in the coming months…
Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) Birthday: Friday, September 29
Commemoration Day: Friday, December 1
National Day: Saturday, December 2 and Sunday, December 3
When is 2023’s National Day Long Weekend?
While National Day holidays will fall on December 2 and 3, a Saturday and Sunday, Commemoration Day will fall on Friday, December 1st, which means it’s looking like we’ll have a three-day long weekend in December 2023.
