The island of Capri welcomed a myriad of stars for the sixth edition of its LuisaViaRoma-hosted UNICEF Summer Gala 2022 on Saturday. The charity gala was held at the historic La Certosa di San Giacomo monastery, in order to raise funds for children affected in Ukraine and Syria. The high-profile guest list for the event included actors, models and public personalities such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Jamie Foxx, Spike Lee, Isabeli Fontana, Vanessa Hudgens and more.
The star performer of the night was the newlywed Jennifer Lopez, who arrived at the event post her honeymoon with actor-husband, Ben Affleck. According to HollywoodLife, the superstar was decked in a sequined, contrasting ensemble as she performed her hits Dance Again, If You Had My Love and a cover of What Is Love? and I Will Survive.
The Gala also produced a number of stunning looks from its guests, who were dressed in their most glamorous evening wear. Vanessa Hudgens wore a custom Michael Kors gold mini dress, sparkling with sequins and glitter alike. The star accessorised it with a diamond choker and earrings set, opting for a simple up do with her hair. On the other hand, her sister Stella Hudgens chose a bright red, high-neck dress from David Koma London. Stella wore strappy black heels and also had her hair up in a high ponytail.
Lebanese designer Georges Chakra’s creations were worn by model Cindy Mello for the Gala, according to Arab News. The Brazilian model donned a rose gold, V-neck gown held together by a statement black belt.
Dua Lipa was the headliner for the last LuisaViaRoma sponsored UNICEF Gala in January; past chairs for the event include Adriana Lima, Emily Ratajkowski, Austin Butler and more. The auction under the stars raises millions of euros for philanthropic purposes, and this summer’s UNICEF Gala was certainly a successful one.
