Happy Saudi National Day long weekend! KSA residents and nationals are ready to celebrate the holiday as the Kingdom prepares for a four-day long public holiday, set to officially start tomorrow. Naturally, everyone is particularly excited about festivities – especially the grand firework displays set to kick off around Saudi – and beyond. Where To Watch The Saudi National Day Fireworks
Riyadh
Multiple firework displays will be occurring throughout town, with the prime viewing at is Umm Ajlan Park, from 5:30pm to 5.37pm on Sunday, September 22. Another option is Riyadh Boulevard, which truly sparks a magic atmosphere featuring live shows, music, entertainment and, of course, an electric firework display.
Jeddah
An elaborate array of fireworks will be showcased across the Jeddah Promenade at 9pm. You can also witness the display from various locations in the Red Sea city, however, a spot at the promenade will guarantee you the best view of the dazzling show.
Dubai
For Saudi nationals living abroad – or anyone looking to celebrate from the UAE – Dubai has a light show lined up in honour of Saudi National Day.
Aiming to go all out with vibrant and extravagant fireworks, residents will have the opportunity to watch fireworks light up the sky at Riverland Dubai on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 at 21:00. Dubai Park and Resorts will also be unveiling a dazzling, eco-friendly laser show in honour of KSA National Day.
When is Saudi National Day?
This year Saudi National Day festivities will be taking place from Friday, September 20th to Monday, September 23rd, 2024, with the official Saudi National Day Holiday taking place on the 23rd.

Is Saudi National Day a Public Holiday?
Saudi National Day is considered a holiday for both the public and private sectors in KSA. Therefore, all residents will have a four-day long weekend From Friday until Monday, returning to work on Tuesday.

What is Saudi National Day?
Saudi National Day is a national holiday in KSA that celebrates the unification of Hijaz (the West Coast and areas of the Kingdom) and Najd (the central region) which occurred in 1932, leading to the birth of Saudi Arabia (which was named after KSA’s first ruler King Abdulaziz Ibn Saud.)
