The upcoming Expo will take place in 2025, and is scheduled to kick off on April 13th of that year (concluding on October 13.)
Where is The Next Expo?
According to the Expo 2020 official website, Osaka Kansai won the bid to host the next Expo exhibit that will take place in 2025. The venue is Yumeshima, Osaka in Japan.
What Is The Next Expo’s Theme?
According to the BIE, the Expo 2025 theme will be Designing Future Society for Our Lives.
Has Osaka Hosted The Expo Before?
The answer to this is yes. Osaka has hosted the event two times in the past in the years: 1970 and 1990. Expo 2025 will be their third time.
Which Pavilions Will Take Part in the Next Expo?
While there aren’t many details on which countries are taking part, the Expo 2020 website has unveiled that 80 countries have confirmed their participation.
Secretary-General of the Japan Pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Aiko Yabunaka, mentions, “Our objective was to showcase our culture, history, and innovations to the world, and take back ideas with us to study for the next few years to host Expo 2025 Osaka Kansai. We have forged friendships, met multinational talents, understood each other – these experiences will endure for better collaborations. We have many global challenges, and by working together, we can make a better world.”
