Directly after what could be described as one of the most illustrious welcomings of a footballer’s arrival to a new club, it seems as though that same excitement has come to a crashing halt as Cristiano will now be sitting on the bench for the next two games against Al-Ta’ee and Al-Shabab.

Only a mere five days ago since Cristiano signed a two-and-half-year contract with the Saudi Arabian professional football team — Al-Nassr in which he would receive $75 million per year (approximately 275,437,425Dhs), which according to ESPN would make Cristiano one of the most highest-paid players in history.

Why Is Cristiano Ronaldo Banned From Making Al-Nassr Debut?

According to a report made by Arabian Business, the professional footballer was set to make his debut this Thursday in a match against the Saudi Arabian football club — Al-Ta’ee at Mrsool Park. Although, this will not be happening at least not for another two matches.

The suspension comes after Cristiano slapped a phone out of the hand of an Everton supporter as he left the pitch — directly after Manchester United’s defeat against Everton in April 2022. The footballer had received a $60,000 fine (approximately 220,386Dhs) and a two-match suspension in November which transferred two his new position at Al-Nassr.
