2024 Met Gala: All The Regional Attendees

The Met Gala has once again captivated the world in its 2024 edition. With Bollywood stars, business magnates, and everything in-between, the red carpet witnessed a myriad of regional guests who each stunned as they brought their distinctive cultural influences to the iconic event.

Mona Patel

For her grand debut, Mona looked breathtaking in a nude floor-length sculpted gown adorned with a golden butterfly-shaped corset and a scalloped train. Designed by Iris Van Herpen, this masterpiece incorporated the use of mechanical elements that caused butterfly wings to flutter as she walked, adding a touch of enchantment and magic to her look.

Gigi Hadid

Gigi Hadid, the epitome of contemporary fashion, mesmerised onlookers in a beautiful creation by Thom Browne. The white gown with its structured ruffles, black and green trimmings, and three-dimensional yellow roses, adhered to the gala’s theme of “Garden of Time” with true finesse.

Imaan Hammam

Imaan Hammam, the Egyptian-Moroccan supermodel, graced the Met stairs in a two-piece ensemble that quite literally dazzled. Drawing inspiration from Swarovski’s Gema collection, Imaan’s attire featured a cape adorned with over 3,000 crystals and a satin column skirt embellished with gold accents. She coordinated her look with fellow models Karlie Kloss and Anok Yai, alongside Swarovski Creative director, Giovanna Engelbert.

Alia Bhatt

Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt, radiated in a timeless saree designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Inspired by J.G. Ballard’s The Garden of Time, Bhatt’s saree boasted a 23-foot-long train adorned with hand-embroidered florals and semi-precious gemstones. From the light ruffles to the intricate detailing, every element of Bhatt’s attire resonated with the gala’s enchanting theme, depicting a mythical narrative with Indian grace, truly making the theme her own.

Shakira

Shakira made her scintillating debut in a Carolina Herrera gown that was the definition of fiery elegance. The renowned singer of Lebanese descent donned a high-slit silhouette and a voluminous cape, styled with loose waves. This look certainly made a statement.

Mindy Kaling

Heads were turned, twisted, and scrambled, when Mindy Kaling walked by. In a gown designed by Gaurav Gupta, aptly named “The Melting Flower of Time,” Mindy’s dress takes you on a surreal journey through loops of infinity. This masterpiece will forever leave it’s lasting impression on the gala’s famous red carpet.

Simone Ashley

Bridgerton star Simone Ashley, dazzled on the white and green carpet in a cutout navy blue dress designed by Prabal Gurung. Featuring a deep neckline and intricate sequinning, the “Viscountess” stunned in modern-day sophistication that captivated all.

Sabyasachi Mukherjee

Sabyasachi Mukherjee, the acclaimed Indian fashion designer, made a regal statement in his elaborate ensemble. Adorned in a white and beige shirt paired with embroidered trousers and a floor-length jacket, Mukherjee looked truly dapper. Embellished with tourmalines, pearls, emeralds, and diamonds, his attire showcased the opulence of Indian artistry.
