The lunar New Year is upon us once more, and for 2025, we are welcoming the Year of the Snake. This occasion has inspired brands worldwide to launch exclusive collections that pay tribute to the rich traditions and motifs of the Lunar New Year. Brands including Dior, Bvlgari, and many others ultra-luxe maisons have crafted limited-edition products featuring serpentine designs.

Fendi

Fendi celebrates the Lunar New Year with the revival of its iconic Eyes collection, first introduced in Spring/Summer 2014. The collection has been reimagined for the occasion, celebrating the maison’s centenary and the Lunar New Year at once. Key pieces include the famous Baguette and Peekaboo bags, featuring the collection’s signature mischievous eyes.

Hublot

Hublot continues its tradition of honoring the Chinese zodiac with the Spirit of Big Bang Year of the Snake, a limited-edition novelty of 88 pieces. Showcasing a gold-plated, intricately engraved snake winding through the open dial and chronograph counters, this timepiece combines elegant artistry with advanced laser technology, marrying artisanry and engineering.

Loewe

A celebration of its artisanal heritage, Loewe’s Year of the Snake collection draws inspiration from the ancient Chinese craft of cloisonné coloured metalwork. The renowned third-generation enameller Xiong Songtao worked alongside Loewe to design the collection, which includes jewellery, charms, and ready-to-wear adorned with intricate snake and cloud motifs, as well as special editions of their classic Puzzle bag.

To celebrate the Lunar New Year, Dior has unveiled a collection of celestial-inspired designs by Maria Grazia Chiuri, inspired by the potent symbolism of the snake. The collection features an enchanting Dior Astral motif adorned with shimmering stars, and includes ready-to-wear pieces, silk scarves, shoes, and leather goods.

Bvlgari

Celebrating the Year of the Snake, the Serpenti Cuore 1968 bag is a tribute to transformation and eternal evolution. Inspired by the iconic 1968 Serpenti Harlequin jewellery watch, it features a heart-shaped calf leather body and a gold-plated snake handle crafted using a complex ‘lost wax’ technique.
