Best Dressed at Cannes 2024: Nadine Labaki Stuns in Celine and Cartier
The Cartier ambassador looked sensational in a classic tux paired with pieces from the iconic jewellery house…
Nadine Labaki made a dazzling entrance at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, capturing the spotlight in a striking Celine ensemble designed by Hedi Slimane.

Historically, suits have been associated with corporate environments, often seen as stuffy and restrictive—the attire of the working man. However, over the years, the suit has been reclaimed as an empowering, cool, and celebratory garment for women, versatile enough to be worn in numerous ways. Nadine’s entrance at Cannes was a testament to this evolution, highlighting the suit’s potential to radiate both power and elegance.

For the Le Deuxième Acte screening and opening ceremony red carpet, Nadine looked truly stunning in a classic black tuxedo from Celine, paired with a loose-collared shirt. Her look was cinched with a chic belt and complemented by a velvet bow tie, all styled meticulously by Sleiman Dayaa.
Adding a touch of sparkle, she accessorised with Cartier Collection earrings in 18k yellow gold adorned with diamonds and emeralds, alongside their Juste Un Clou ring. These pieces lent a timeless elegance to her modern look.

Nadine’s appointment to the jury has marked a milestone for Middle Eastern cinema. The Oscar-nominated director and actress has been selected as a jury member for the 77th Festival, her first return since her historic win in 2018, when she became the first Arab woman to claim a major prize. She joins a diverse and respected panel, including directors Kore-eda Hirokazu and Juan Antonio Bayona, acclaimed actress Lily Gladstone, and Hollywood star Eva Green.
