With Ramadan 2025 just around the corner—approximately 100 days away—Italian luxury house Brunello Cucinelli’s Abaya Capsule arrives as a perfectly timed celebration of modest fashion.
The brand unveiled its Spring Summer 2025 collection and a special Abaya Capsule in a setting as graceful as the designs themselves. Against the backdrop of the serene dunes at sunset, the exclusive event took place at Nara Escape, inviting an intimate gathering of brand partners, friends of the luxury house, royals, and fashion enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the label’s latest vision.
Brunello Cucinelli himself warmly welcomed guests, the Executive Chairman and Creative Director, alongside his daughter, Carolina Cucinelli, Vice President. The father-daughter duo introduced the new collections.
The evening began with an exclusive preview of the SS25 collection and concluded with an enchanting dinner under a starry sky, bringing the night to a memorable close.
A Collection Inspired by the Desert
The desert’s vast landscape served as the muse for Brunello Cucinelli’s SS25 collection. Earthy tones of tobacco, deep brown, Panama white, and muted neutrals reflected the natural palette of the dunes, creating a blend of rugged beauty and refined sophistication the Italian brand is celebrated for. Flowing silhouettes and light fabrics captured the essence of desert landscapes, while utility-inspired details lent a modern edge to blazers, skirts, and trousers.
Intricate macramé knitwear and craquelé-effect embroidery added to the elegance of the pieces and reflected the brand’s commitment to showcasing excellent craftsmanship in their designs.
Accessories were crafted to mirror the collection’s overall theme, with raffia and leather designs elevated by hand-embroidered details.
The Exclusive Abaya Capsule
Paying homage to the rich traditions of Arab culture, Brunello Cucinelli introduced an exclusive Abaya Capsule that seamlessly melded the Italian fashion house’s artisanal expertise with influences from the region.
Comprising five unique Abaya styles, each accompanied by a matching Shayla, the capsule exuded understated luxury. The designs were crafted using four opulent fabrics: classic silk crêpe, lustrous laminated silk, summer-weight wool with sequin-thread embroidery mimicking traditional regimental patterns, and a gleaming silk adorned with tone-on-tone sequins.
