#StyledByCed: Cedric Haddad On Holiday Shopping Don’ts And This Seasons IT Colour

Stylist to the stars Cedric Haddad shines a spotlight on the top red carpet looks, hot trends and fashion moments of the month

Anatomy Of A Look

Feeling festive, I decided to accentuate Cyrine Abdelnour’s curves with a midi-corset dress straight off the catwalk from the Versace Autumn Winter 2022 show. It’s a strong choice that I made even more impactful by pairing it with a Tiffany & Co. HardWear necklace and matching earrings. Nothing says holiday spirit more than this ultra-glamorous creation from Donatella Versace. I remember the second I saw it on Cyrine I screamed: “That’s THE dress!” The draping and corset combo is the secret behind what makes it a winning look. Together they create an outfit that has a classic structure but is also sensual in nature, a melange that reads luxury and also feminine strength.

Seeing Red

Fun and playful is the way I like to approach festive attire. But this season things are really heating up for one shade in particular – red. From Ferragamo and Magda Butrym to Dolce&Gabbana and Mugler, this colour has become the centre of attention for top designers and is always a smart choice for holiday attire.

Happy Feet

If an eye-catching red dress feels a bit too strong a statement, turn to a pair of ‘hype’ heels to give some end-of-the-year energy to a more reserved outfit. Pairs from Christian Louboutin or Loewe are sure to get you noticed in a new way.

Holiday Shopping Don’ts

1. Don’t shop before checking what’s already in your closet

2. Don’t buy without trying a look on

3. Don’t choose the wrong shopping partner

4. Don’t buy multiple colours of the same item

5. Don’t give yourself a time limit when you are shopping. It’s rare to stumble upon a winning look right away, but I promise you will find it!
