Celebrity Stylist Cedric Haddad on Dressing For The Races With Flair
The stylist to the stars shines a spotlight on the top red carpet looks, hot trends and fashion moments of the month
It is one of the most anticipated dates in the international racing calendar: The Dubai World Cup. There is so much to take in at this high-profile equestrian event. I always stake claim to an excellent viewing spot at the entrance so I can check those coming in from head to toe. Playing dress up with Tunisian model Rym Saidi is always fun, but this time I delved into the archives. This Fendi classic midi dress from Rym’s closet was the perfect choice, but we added drama to the look with a statement hat – the most important World Cup accessory. Serendipitously I was introduced to Virginie, who owns luxury hair ornament boutique Virginie. O, a week before the big day and found the perfect piece to complete Rym’s look. Vintage meets drama – what a juxtaposition.
Adding The Finishing Touches…
Add a final flourish to your outfit by picking the right accessories, elevating your look from prosaic to perfect.
Serving Face
For fashion-forward bravehearts. Opt for one visage-enhancing piece that steals the spotlight.

Hats Off
Whether micro or mega, a hat transforms. Take style tips from ’60s trends, as a hat adds pizzazz and can be sported all year long. Opt for straw or raffia during the Spring and Summer months (see: Jacquemus or Hermès), while velvet, wool and suede work when it’s cooler.

All Tied Up
Silk scarves are so versatile. They can attract attention to any part of the body; accentuate the neck, put a bandana in your hair, showcase a knot on your wrist, belt your waist or even sport one as a top.
