Celebrity Stylist Khalil Zein Talks Bridal Style, Fashion Faux Pas, And The Latest Season Of Say Yes To The Dress Arabia
The Lebanese style extraordinaire is guiding brides through one of their most meaningful fashion moments in life
Popular reality show, Say Yes To The Dress, has been documenting brides finding their dream dress for their big day since 2007.
In 2022, the show made its way to the Middle East, giving regional fans the opportunity to explore a glorious array of luxurious gowns, highlighting the unique flair and opulent style reminiscent of Arab brides.
Now, a new season of Say Yes To The Dress Arabia has just landed on our screens, and renowned Lebanese stylist, Khalil Zein is back to host the show.
Filmed at Hazar Haute Couture in Dubai, the largest wedding dress producer in the Gulf region, the stylist and fashion consultant will guide soon-to-be brides through a bespoke collection bridal dresses, helping them find the perfect one. The show will cater to budgets ranging from Dhs 2,258.90 ($615) to Dhs 51,422.00 ($14,000).
Known for his avant-garde ensembles and unique stylistic vision, Khalil has been in the styling business over 20 years, and has built up an esteemed roster of celebrity clients, including Nancy Ajram, Nadine Nassib, Maya Diab, and Myriam Fares.
“I’m so happy to be back hosting the newest season of Say Yes To The Dress Arabia,” he says in a comment to Harper’s Bazaar Arabia.
For the latest season, Khalil says we can look forward to seeing a few bloggers on the show, while he’ll continue to showcase his signature “Khalil Zein” sensibilities.

Commenting on the most important aspects to look for when searching for the perfect gown, Khalil emphasises a silhouette that accentuates your body shape, and a dress that’s suitable for the setting. “Is it an indoor or outdoor wedding? What is the theme? All of this plays a role in finding the right dress,” he says.
Of course, dealing with brides from different cultural backgrounds comes with its own set of styling customs. “Middle Eastern brides have a tendency to be more glamourous and out of the box,” he says.
However, with his personal preference leaning towards finding beauty in simplicity, he recommends that brides should rather opt for a classic cut, which can be paired with a statement jewellery piece. “Perhaps you can find a beautiful diamond or a unique accessory to provide that extravagant element,” he says.
Another element in the styling journey is the bride’s usually opinionated entourage. “Background and family influence also play a role in finding the right dress,” he says.
