Chanel’s Double Dose of Luxury in Riyadh’s Solitaire Mall

From new-season handbags to dazzling jewels, discover a space designed to enchant

What’s better than a Chanel boutique? Two of them, side by side. Visitors to Riyadh’s Solitaire Mall are now greeted with double the elegance, as the House unveiled twin boutiques last month — an architectural love letter to Chanel’s enduring passions: avant-garde fashion and the art of haute horlogerie and fine jewellery.

Spanning 538 square metres, the interconnected spaces are designed for exploration, inviting shoppers to drift between worlds and perhaps fall for a Camélia ring or this season’s most-wanted handbag along the way.

The Fashion boutique, at 454 square metres, is a sprawling yet intimate space. The moment you walk through the sleek white façade, you’re greeted by a selection of Chanel accessories – iconic flap bags perched like art pieces in glass displays, vibrant tweed scarves folded with precision, and sunglasses that demand a second glance.

Effortlessly chic with just the right touch of drama, the space plays with contrasts — sleek metal consoles set against soft wool carpets, and glints of gold that wink at the House’s enduring love for opulence. In the ready-to-wear salon, the Spring-Summer 2025 pre-collection hangs with quiet poise, inviting you to slip something on and never take it off. Sink into a tweed-upholstered sofa (yes, it’s as plush as it looks) and daydream about pairing that ivory jacket with the kitten heels just a few steps away.

Sculptures by Johan Creten add a whimsical edge, while Y.Z. Kami’s meditative works in the VIP area call for a mid-browse pause. Even the shoe salon feels curated – less “department store” and more “personal stylist’s closet”. And when you’re ready to spritz on the latest Les Eaux de Chanel, the beauty corner awaits, its marble counters gleaming under soft lights.

If the Fashion side is a sunlit Parisian apartment, the Watches & Fine Jewellery boutique is its moodier, more enigmatic sibling. Black lacquer walls meet gold accents, setting the stage for the N°5 necklace collection to shimmer with even more brilliance. J12 watches — icons of understated cool — are displayed alongside Première timepieces, their straps soft as butter. High Jewellery pieces are presented with quiet reverence, not simply as accessories, but as future heirlooms waiting to be discovered.

Art ties both spaces together, with ornate screens by Sterling Ruby and delicate objets by Nancy Lorenz peppering the rooms. Even the fitting rooms feel special, thanks to Jacqueline Delubac’s decorative touches.

By the time you leave, you’ll have memorised the textures: the cool smoothness of marble, the satisfying weight of a gold Coco Crush ring, and the buttery calfskin of a 25 Medium – and you’ll be looking forward to your next visit.
