Dubai Fashion Week, co-founded by The Arab Fashion Council and held at Dubai Design District, came to an end this weekend. The grand finale featured none other than iconic supermodel Naomi Campbell, who closed the show for Rizman Ruzaini. From The Giving Movement to Michael Cinco, the weekend’s presentations cast a spotlight on astonishing couture.

Day 5 Highlights

Slimi Studio

On Day 5, Slimi Studio’s SS24 collection drew inspiration from the lively shades of Indian culture and sunset hues. From ruffle-sleeved bralettes to tasseled pieces, the first segment of the show was a blend of casual chic with a contemporary edge while sparkling tops and sheer gowns took center stage during the second segment of the show.

The Giving Movement

The UAE-based brand, The Giving Movement, unveiled an exciting array of sustainable, locally crafted outdoor essentials. The bold colour palette presented a dynamic fusion of sporty yet stylish silhouettes, including oversized cargo pants, mini skirts, and fitted tops. Dubai Bling‘s Loujain Adada was spotted walking down the runway.

Day 6 Highlights

Valentin Yudashkin

Valentin Yudashkin celebrated its 30th anniversary with an extraordinary Haute Couture collection titled A Woman In Time. Drawing inspiration from the Renaissance, Antiquity, Baroque, and Art Deco, the collection seamlessly blended these influences with Middle Eastern and Asian elements. 

Day 7 Highlights

Michael Cinco

The last and final day of Dubai Fashion Week commenced with a phenomenal runway show by Michael Cinco. The Filipino fashion designer paid homage to the rich culture of Spain, marking his third collection inspired by the country. The runway was graced by flamenco-inspired gowns and exquisitely embroidered pieces.

Rizman Ruzaini

Ending Dubai Fashion Week on a high note, the Malaysian luxury fashion house Rizman Ruzaini, by designer duo Rizman Nordin and Ruzaini Jamil, showcased a collection that drew inspiration from Malaysia’s roots. Closing the show was Supermodel Naomi Campbell, who shone brightly in a stunning crystal-encrusted gown, leaving a lasting mark on Dubai’s ever-growing fashion scene.
